Moving from Spotify
Years of Spotify listening, as albums you can score. Your history stays on your device.
- On spotify.com, Account, Privacy settings, ask for your Extended streaming history. It can take a few weeks to arrive. The quicker account data download has no album names, so it will not work.
- Choose the file on sleeves' import page. It is read on your device and never uploaded: sleeves gets only the artist, album, suggested score, and date (if you want one) of each album you tick. It then shows you what it found on sleeves, and what it did not, before anything is logged.

What carries over
- Every album you played more than a couple of times, with a suggested score from 3 to 5 that you can change before anything is logged.
- When you first played it, as the month (the default), the exact day, or not at all. You choose.
- Not play counts, single plays, tracks, or times. They never leave your device.
What is different
- The album is the thing you log, not a track or a playlist.
- Lists, a Top Four on your profile, and people to follow.
- Critics' scores sit beside people's on every album.
What sleeves does not have yet
- The catalog comes from MusicBrainz. Very obscure or physical-only releases can be missing; you can add them to MusicBrainz and they show up here.
- Genres are MusicBrainz tags rather than voted genres, and moods are a short list you vote on with a tap, not open descriptors.
- Scores for single tracks. You can mark your favourite tracks on an album with a heart, and the most loved ones are charted.
